Founded in 1852 and incorporated as a town in 1866, Zionsville is perhaps best known for its historic downtown area, referred to as the Village. All of the important styles of architecture of the last two centuries are represented in the Village; you can pick up a walking tour guide at the Zionsville Chamber of Commerce office. In the heart of the Village lies our brick Main Street, lined with shops and restaurants.

Zionsville Trail Park
The 3.5 mile long multi-use Zionsville Rail Trail is popular with walkers, runners, and bicyclists.
Starkey Nature Park
Starkey Nature Park, a restricted-use 72-acre nature conservancy, offers wooded trails and perfect spots for picnics and nature study. For a map of Starkey Nature Park, click here.
Mulberry Fields
Mulberry Fields includes athletic fields, a skate park, a splash park, a sledding hill, prairie-meadow plantings with interpretive signage and pathways. The original farmstead has been preserved for educational programs and is managed by Maplelawn Farmstead.
Two Lighted Tennis Courts
Two lighted tennis courts are located on the east side of the village, adjacent to Lions Park. The one half-acre mini-park also includes a tennis practice area and an extensive playground, which is a favorite of neighborhood children.
Lincoln Park
Lincoln Park, a one-half acre park located in the village, is where Abraham Lincoln stopped to visit in 1861 on his way to Washington, D.C. to be inaugurated as President. It offers picnic tables, benches, a fountain, and a memorial dedicated to Lincoln.
Elm Street Green
The 15.5 acre Elm Street Green includes shelters, benches, a fountain and trails. It also features components that demonstrate environmentally friendly techniques: permeable pavers, bio-basins, and drip irrigation were installed for stormwater quality purposes, and prairie meadows reduce mowing costs and provide a beautiful habitat for wildlife.
Zion Nature Park
The Zion Nature Center offers a wide variety of nature programs and exhibits.
Zionsville Lions Club
The Zionsville Lions Club operates Lions Park, an 18-acre recreational facility consisting of seven baseball and softball diamonds, a lighted sand volleyball court, an enclosed shelter house, a covered picnic facility, a gazebo, picnic shelters, and other amenities..
Golf Club
Zionsville Golf Club is a public, nine-hole facility with tee times available seven days a week.

The annual two-day Zionsville Lions Club Fall Festival the weekend after Labor Day attracts over 25,000 visitors every year to the carnival, events, activities & food event.
The Zionsville July 4th Celebration attracts 15,000 visitors.
Brick Street Market, the Saturday after Mother’s Day, features over 180 artists and craftspeople plus food and children’s activities. Later that evening is Brick Street After Dark, an event featuring live music, beer, and food.
Street Dance, on the first Saturday in August, offers a live band, dancing in the streets, and food from our fine restaurants.
